TERRY RAISES $1.37 MILLION FOR 2012 RACE

U.S. Rep. Lee Terry’s campaign has raised $1,373,774 for the 2012 cycle and enters July with $482,387 in cash on hand.

“Once again our campaign has met all of our fundraising goals,” said Dave Boomer, Terry’s campaign manager. “Our finance report shows that Lee enjoys strong support and is representing the district well. We will have the resources we need to take Lee’s campaign to every neighborhood and community in the second district.”

Boomer said the campaign is on track to exceed their 2010 fundraising total of $1.93 million, a race Terry won by 21 points against Democratic nominee Tom White.

For the period of April 26—June 30, 2012, the campaign raised $343,214.

For the full second quarter (April 1—June 30) the campaign raised $421,129.

Boomer noted that the Terry campaign has invested significant sums in new technology and field resources and has already begun purchasing critical television time in the fall. He also said the campaign invested heavily in order to win a smashing 60 percent of the vote in a five-candidate Republican primary in May. Terry defeated his nearest opponent by 37 points.

Terry’s campaign detailed their fundraising numbers in a report filed today with the Federal Election Commission.
